Kelly Roy has been with the Delta County Health & Human Services agency for 16 years.  She was hired as an Adult Protection caseworker and case manager for the assisted living facilities.  Currently, Kelly serves as the Program Manager for Adult Services and is manager of the North Fork Annex. Kelly holds a BA in Counseling Psychology from Mesa State College and is pursuing her master’s degree in counseling through Adam’s State College. Kelly is a Delta County native


 

Gerald Templin has recently taken a new position with the Program for All-inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE).  He was appointed to fill a one-year board vacancy and was recently elected to a new board term.   Gerald was involved with the Texas YMCA program for 15 years developing senior programs in physical health and wellness.  He is a graduate of Texas A&M, with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science and Health Education.  He also has a Masters degree in Management from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis on membership development and fund raising specifically for YMCA’s or other non-profit organizations.

 

Pamela Lee is at U S Bank and has served effectively as Secretary, completing a resigning member’s term.  Ms. Lee works especially with the senior clientele in the bank. She is a graduate from the University of Hawaii, with a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Psychology. She holds her  Series 6, 63 and 7 General Securities License along with her Colorado Resident Producer License for Accident, Health, Life and Long Term Care Products.  She has actively assisted with Educational Forums and has been a presenter at previous Forums.

 

Jim Jones is currently serving as Treasurer, utilizing QuickBooks.  Jim has extensive experience with senior organizations.  He has a BA from Western State College in Education and is currently employed by Midwestern Co Mental Health.  Jim has over 30 years of experience as a Human Service professional including 7 years as Director of Social Services for a long-term care agency.  He currently works for Midwest Mental Health.

 

Barb Bennigsdorf  has owned and operated Caregiver Solutions for the past year.  The previous two years, she administered and coordinated the Family Caregiver Support Program as an employee for another in-home care agency.  She has lived in Montrose since 1989.  She is the primary long-distance caregiver for her mother who lives in North Dakota.

 

Paula Carter has been employed at DCMH since 2005 in the Education and transcription departments. She has an MA in Library Science from Denver University and an associate’s in nursing from U of NM. She was an RN for two years then traveled overseas where her husband’s employment took her to Africa and Europe. Her mother is at Horizons and she and her family are vested in her care.

 

Thom Wheeler was born and raised in Alamosa Colorado and has two sons with the older son being mentally delayed and the driving force behind Thom’s vocation. Thom started with the Center for Independence in Grand Junction in October 2007 as the Community Integration Specialist then Regional Manager in Montrose since January 2010.  In addition, he spent three years as a Procurement coordinator for San Juan Center for Independence in Farmington, New Mexico and year at the Tri-County Independent Living Center in Ogden, Utah as a Nursing Home Transition Coordinator and Peer Coordinator. Thom graduated from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico with an Associates of Arts degree and Applied Science degree in 2006.  Thom has held numerous leadership positions and has acquired several certifications including  ADA Training, Adaptive Equipment and Universal Construction Training, CPR/AED Certified.

 

 Beth G. French is a Delta County native and has been working with seniors in the areas of long-term care, financial security, and estate protection and planning for the past 13 years. She has been active in DCSRC since its inception and continues to serve as past  President and grant writer
